The New Orleans Pelicans routed the Washington Wizards 142-122 on Wednesday night, marking their highest scoring game of the season. Brandon Ingram led the way with 40 points, while Trey Murphy III added 27 points and Jonas Valanciunas chipped in 16 points and 18 rebounds.
The Pelicans were without two-time All-Star Zion Williamson, who sprained his ankle in Monday's win over Minnesota. However, they didn't miss a beat, shooting 62.5% from the field as a team.
Kyle Kuzma and Bilal Coulibaly led the Wizards with 27 points apiece. However, Washington's defense was porous, allowing the Pelicans to score 142 points.
The Wizards have now lost 20 of their last 23 games.
